Gabe, the US Citizen

Gabe had his day in court this week. Due to the visa he came home on, we had to go to court here in the US to finalize the adoption. This was BY FAR, the least stressful court date we've ever had in regards to adoption. It was pretty simple, just explaining what we do for a living, what we do in our spare time and hoping Gabe didn't poop because we left the diaper bag in the car! Here's a picture of the big day.

5 Months and 1 Birth Later

Life has picked up the pace...in a major way. EJ was born on September 3 and we've been on the go since. Okay, we were on the go before then, but now its a constant run.
Wyatt is now in an early 5's class and is doing great. He has lots of friends and is growing like a weed. He's playing basketball for the YMCA and is an awesome big brother.
Gabe is one of a kind. The kid is busier than any other kid I've seen. 99% of the time, he has an amazing smile on his face, so we're at least laughing when chasing him.
EJ is doing great. Having never had an infant, we didn't know what to expect, but we've been loving it. He's beginning to smile and the other boys can't get enough of him.
Jason's in the thick of his busy season with work...the football and basketball overlap makes for an at least 6 day work week.
I'm back to work and extremely busy as well. Why is it that 8 weeks of maternity goes so fast?!
Here's a picture of the newest Schlafer. I'd love to say I'll be more consistent with the pictures from now on, but I don't make promises I can't keep!
